Iris Moore Rock Pools - Anna Bay

A local secret in Anna Bay is the Iris Moore Rock pools. This area is adjacent to Birubi Beach and is a rugged rocky outcrop. Exploring the rocks on low tide you will find little hidden white sandy oasis. On high tide the rock pools are filled to capacity and perfect for swimming. The main rock pool opposite Argyle Avenue, has concrete pathways and a diving block for the kiddies.

Great for peace and quiet, great for the kids!

Grassy pathways lead from one end of the beach to the other, with a historic cemetery at the Southern end. The walk is short but the scenery is beautiful, with native coast plants and natural rocky stair cases leading down to the waters edge.

We recommend this great little place to spend the day if the sand is blowing at the beach, or an afternoon picnic spot to watch the sunset.

Shaded picnic tables are located at the northern end of the beach, however no toilet facilities are located here. Many locals spearfish and fish here off the rocks. There is a little reef located at the northern end of the beach which is frequented by local bodyboarders.
