Boat Harbour Beach

Only a short 6 minute drive from Anna Bay lies the sleepy town of Boat Harbour. Boat Harbour truly is a hidden gem with something for everyone. The beach has recently been announced dog friendly!

Boat Harbour Beach is a beautiful small sandy beach flanked by two rocky headlands. The headlands protect it from the winds and is a great spot to snorkel or spear fish. A boat ramp is located to one corner of the beach and is less crowded in the peak summer seasons compared to the more well known ones in the area.

Currently, Boat Harbour Beach is partly dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on and off-lead at all times during off-peak season (May – September) and dogs allowed on lead between 5pm and 9am during peak season (October – April), but prohibited outside of these hours.

The Northern Headland located on Noamunga Street, is also dog friendly and offers wonderful walking tracks through the bush out to the point. The point is perfect for watching the whales during their annual migration as well as little rock pools for the kids to explore. Solace Place is also located on the headland with an all day off leash dog exercise area. The park is a large open flat grassy clearing with shaded picnic tables.

Boat Harbour Beach also offers a reserve area that overlooks the beach. The park has barbecue and toilet facilities as well as an impressive playground that will keep your little ones entertained for hours.
