What better way to start your day then with Shoal Bay Stand Up Paddleboarding! Located on the idyllic shore of Shoal Bay beach, paddleboarding here is great for people of all levels of experience.

The calm waters and wind protected bay make for perfect conditions. Shoal bay is well known for its crystal clear turquoise water. ‘Mt Tomaree’ (as known by the locals) sits at one end of the beach and Nelson Head lighthouse located at the other. We recommend booking a morning session when the sun is rising behind the headland making conditions not too hot.

Great for kids, great for the parents!

The water here is shallow to the right of the wharf, this gives paddle boarders the grassy sea floor to explore. On the left of the wharf, the sea floor goes deep quickly where you will see pods of dolphins and schools of fish swim past. If you are lucky you may even spot a sea turtle cruising by.

After a morning spent on the water, head on up to the shady park that hugs the shoreline. Here you will find picnic tables, toilets and showers to wash off those sandy feet. Pack a picnic or head on over to one of the restaurants/cafes for a late breakfast or early lunch.
