Robinson Reserve - Something for everyone

Robinson Reserve Anna Bay is a wonderful newly upgraded park that has something for everyone. Located on the corner of Fitrozy and Robinson street the park is both family friendly and dog friendly. The park has a southern view overlooking Birubi Beach and the Stockton Bight to Newcastle.

Hugging the shoreline of Birubi Beach, the park has car parking and direct access to the beach, as well as all the amenities you would expect (toilets, showers, drinking fountains, picnic tables and BBQs undercover) It also has a modern skate park, playground and cycle path. There are two large grassy areas that are perfect for a picnic, somewhere to kick a ball around or to sit and watch the kids play.

The skate park is very popular with the locals and is busy most weekends. Young toddlers on bikes and scooters, to the experienced skaters, are commonly seen sharing the park making it an enjoyable experience for everyone. It is spacious and caters to all levels of riders. The park itself is comprised of a series of in-situ modules such as a central fun box and steps, grind rails, a transition wedge, quarter pipes (some with roll-ins) & flat banks. It also has some flat space and pathways surrounding it for the little ones to safely move around on if they aren’t quite up to the “big park” yet

The cycleway that runs adjacent to the park connects Birubi Beach Surf Club to the Iris Moore rock pools. It makes a scenic trail to enjoy past aboriginal middens, the rocky shore line, wildlife and of course the sweeping views of the Stockton Beach sand dunes.

The park has Aboriginal Place interpretive signage and native landscaping highlighting the significance of the land to the local Worimi people.

Great for kids, great for the family!

We suggest grabbing a coffee from Crest at Birubi Point Surf Club and then heading along the cycle path towards Robinson reserve for a play, before following the path along the shoreline to cemetery point to explore the rock pools in Iris Moore Reserve. This little walk will take you anywhere between an hour or more depending on how much time you take to stop and explore.
