A JOURNEY THROUGH COASTAL BEAUTY

Anna Bay to Boat Harbour (3.7 km)
Your journey begins in Anna Bay, with a gentle trail cutting through lush bushland and along scenic headlands. This section is perfect for families, casual hikers, and nature lovers, as the relatively flat terrain makes it accessible for all fitness levels. Take your time to soak in the views, explore hidden coves, or snap a few photos of the rugged cliffs. Along this segment, you’ll also pass Little Kingsley Beach, a quiet spot tucked away along the trail—ideal for a peaceful moment by the water. This section is suitable for families (we took our toddler), solo adventurers, joggers, and hikers of all levels. The track is well-marked and mostly flat as it winds through the bush.

Boat Harbour to One Mile Beach (5.1 km)
As you continue, the trail takes you through dramatic coastal landscapes and shaded forests, eventually bringing you to the pristine sands of One Mile Beach. This beautiful, patrolled beach is perfect for families. It's a great place to rest, enjoy a picnic, or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters. The calm, safe environment is especially ideal for kids, making it a wonderful spot to recharge before you continue your walk.

One Mile Beach to Shoal Bay (6.6 km)
The final leg of the walk is spectacular, with sweeping views of the coastline and opportunities to spot marine life. Along the way, you’ll pass Samurai Beach, a clothing-optional spot, so be prepared for a unique experience as you explore this quiet stretch of coast. When you reach "Big Rocky," you’ll find a designated parking area along the trail. If you want to pause the walk here to continue another time, you can leave a car parked and resume later. Continuing toward Shoal Bay, you’ll pass through Fingal Bay, where you can stop at Cellar Cafe for a refreshing frozen margarita or a Coopers Pale Ale, perfect to recharge before finishing the trek. As you approach Shoal Bay, the village comes into view, marking the end of your walk. Treat yourself to a drink or meal at the Shoal Bay Country Club, a local favorite for both visitors and residents.

PARKING ALONG THE TRAIL

For those not planning to complete the entire walk in one day, there are several car parking spots along the trail, depending on whether you’re starting or finishing the walk. These include parking at Anna Bay, Boat Harbour Beach, One Mile Beach, Big Rocky, Fingal Bay, or Shoal Bay. These designated areas provide flexibility for walkers who wish to explore the trail in segments.
